'I was absolutely blown away when I returned home! In my present financial situation, I could never have afforded to accomplish all this. Much love and appreciation to you wonderful men and women of God. I know my husband is smiling down from heaven!'

The very first Both Hands project occurred in April 2007. Don and Mary Meyer and several of their friends came out to work on Lucille Williams’ house. Over $52,000 was raised that was used to fund adoptions, and Mrs. Lucille’s home got the makeover over she so desperately needed.

On April 26, 2008, over 60 volunteers gathered in support of Bill and Lisa Kersey’s adoption. They helped put on a new roof on Diana Beach’s home, not to mention some fairly impressive landscaping. As a result, over $14,000 was raised and put into an adoption fund. The Kerseys hope to bring home Caleb home soon.
