The Keveren/Hunter Story
Dear friends and family,
A few weeks ago we sent you a letter about our adoption fundraiser. Both Hands Foundation helps adoptive families raise money toward their expenses and creates a unique opportunity to connect with and serve a widow at the same time. August 29th was our workday at Mary Hunter’s house and we had a team of over 40 friends and family who joined us. Take a look at the before & after pictures! It was a great day!
Mary now has a newly painted bathroom, hallway, and kitchen. We cleaned out her garage, hauled over a dozen truck-loads to the dump and completely de-cluttered the outside of her house. Her screen door has been fixed, rotting window sills replaced and the trim around the outside of her house is restored to its original state. Mary loves her new patio and landscaping and is putting her new clothes line to good use! She was very shy around the camera but was absolutely beaming by the end of the day. She thanked us over and over for helping her and was so grateful to have made so many new friends. She especially loved meeting everyone’s children and receiving the flowers and pictures that they made for her. Many of the families have begun writing and visiting Mary and our new friendships continue to be a blessing to all involved.
A videographer is putting together a video of our work-day that we’ll post here as soon as it is available. Thank you for partnering with us and for helping with our adoption fundraiser! You have made a HUGE impact on our family and in Mary Hunter’s life as well. May God bless you as much as you have blessed us! If you would still like to contribute to our fund, send your tax-deductible contribution to:
