Welcome to the Shreve Both Hands project page!

"Following our Project Day, several folks at church asked us if it was a success.  In our eyes it was: 20 team members served joyfully all day to complete each of the planned projects, and the sweet lady we served was pleased and grateful.  And if God was glorified, then it was surely a success for all involved!
As a bonus, the lady who we served (an Ethiopian lady here in Louisville) looks forward to blessing us again by teaching Amharic and other aspects of Ethiopian culture to the two Ethiopian sibling who we will be adopting, Lord willing, in late July.
If one could enhance the name of this ministry with a tagline, it could be called Both Hands: One mind and one heart.  Everyone serving with a single-minded intent to bless God; each one serving with love in their heart for the widow and orphans."

UPDATE!!
August 9th, Mark & Diane received the following excellent news: “Good Morning and Congratulations!  Your MOWA letter was received and your case has been approved and finalized by the Ethiopia Federal Court.”  Hallelujah!
This means that:
· Yemisrach and Abel are now officially our children. They have taken our family name.  And we can now share their photos with you.  (See attached photo of us all together in Addis Ababa.)
· The final steps in our adoption process will soon begin: investigation/approval by the U.S. Embassy (which can take 8-16 weeks).
· We might be cleared to travel for our 2nd trip in October or November – to visit their birth town, learn more about their home culture/language, and to bring them home.

"And it’s time to reach across the divides of geography, language, family, finances and faith to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with two more souls."
