Frank and Sharon have answered God's call and stepped out in faith to adopt an infant from the US. For 7 years, they have prayed that God would bless them with a child. Unlike other expecting parents, Frank and Sharon pray for a baby that is growing inside someone else's womb. Along their journey, God has revealed that He desires to build their family through the miracle of adoption. The Dees Family will be working on a widow's home to help raise funds to cover the high cost of adoption (approximately $10,000).
"R," the widow being served, is a remarkable woman (who wishes to remain anonymous). She works full-time and is the sole care-giver for her mother. "R" lost her husband to cancer in 1998 and her special needs son not long after. Night and day she cared for them both through their suffering and never once complained. "R"s home is in need of repairs and improvements. So on November 5, the Dees family and a team of volunteers will be blessing "R" by working on her home.
Projects completed include: repaired the widow’s fence that had been damaged during Hurricane Irene, raked, pruned, cleaned gutters, swept, cleaned, painted patio furniture, replaced light bulbs, and planted pansies.
